How kids thermals are made
Knitting
Yarn is knitted on circular knitting machines into tubular fabric at the weight you choose, measured in grams per square metre (gsm).
Brushing and setting
For brushed fabrics the inner face is napped to raise a soft pile that traps warm air. The fabric is then heat-set so width and shrinkage stay stable after washing.
Cutting
Fabric is laid and cut to a marker built from your size ratio, so a mixed-size order does not waste fabric.
Sewing
Flatlock seams for base layers that sit against the skin, overlock and cover-stitch for everyday thermals, rib cuffs and waistbands attached on the same line.
Check and pack
Every piece is measured against the size chart, trimmed and inspected, then folded and bagged with your label, size sticker and barcode.
Rules that apply to children’s clothing
Children’s clothing is regulated more tightly than adult clothing in every market we ship to. In the United States, children’s products need third-party testing and a Children’s Product Certificate issued by the brand, and thermal sets marketed as sleepwear must be tight-fitting or meet the flammability standards. In the EU, cords and drawstrings on children’s clothing are restricted. In Russia, Kazakhstan and Belarus, children’s clothing falls under TR CU 007/2011.
We make to the fit and construction your market needs, and arrange testing at an accredited lab when you need reports. The certificate or declaration itself is issued by the brand or importer.

Only if they are tight-fitting per the US rules for children’s sleepwear, or pass the flammability standards. Tell us you plan to sell them as sleepwear and we grade the fit accordingly.
How long does it take?
Samples in about 7 days, bulk in about 25 days after approval and deposit.
