How a thermal top is made
Knitting
Yarn is knitted on circular knitting machines into tubular fabric at the weight you choose, measured in grams per square metre (gsm).
Brushing and setting
For brushed fabrics the inner face is napped to raise a soft pile that traps warm air. The fabric is then heat-set so width and shrinkage stay stable after washing.
Cutting
Fabric is laid and cut to a marker built from your size ratio, so a mixed-size order does not waste fabric.
Sewing
Flatlock seams for base layers that sit against the skin, overlock and cover-stitch for everyday thermals, rib cuffs and waistbands attached on the same line.
Check and pack
Every piece is measured against the size chart, trimmed and inspected, then folded and bagged with your label, size sticker and barcode.
Who buys thermal tops from us
Most of our thermal top orders come from four kinds of buyers: online brands selling on Amazon, Shopify or TikTok Shop; marketplace sellers on Wildberries, Ozon and Allegro; outdoor and workwear shops that want their own label on the shelf; and distributors who supply all of these.
What they have in common is that they want a factory price without a factory-sized order. 100 pieces per style with sizes mixed is enough to test a colour and a fit before committing to a season.
Choosing the fabric
Brushed polyester-spandex is the mass-market choice: soft, stretchy, quick to dry and the lowest cost per piece. Modal is smoother and thinner, for a top that disappears under a shirt. Cotton rib and waffle are the classic long-john look. Merino blends cost several times more but regulate temperature and resist odour, which is what outdoor buyers pay for.
If you are unsure, order samples of two fabrics in the same style. Most buyers decide within a day of wearing them.
Plan for the season
Thermals sell from October to January in the Northern Hemisphere and from May to August in the Southern. Counting 7 days for samples, about 25 days for bulk and two to six weeks of freight, Northern Hemisphere orders should be confirmed by August or early September.

What is the minimum order for wholesale thermal shirts?
100 pieces per style in our stock fabrics and colours, with your label; sizes can be mixed. A custom colour or fabric starts at 500 pieces per colour because the fabric is knitted and dyed for you.
Can I mix sizes and colours?
Sizes, yes, within one colour. Colours count separately: a style in black and grey is 100 pieces of each.
Can you match a thermal top I already sell?
Send us the sample. We match the fabric weight, the hand feel and the measurements, and tell you honestly where a match is not possible. We do not copy logos, prints or anything protected by someone else’s trademark.
How long does it take?
Samples in about 7 days after the brief, bulk in about 25 days after sample approval and deposit. Freight is quoted separately.
What does the price depend on?
Fabric and weight first, then trims (labels, thumbholes, rib), seam type, packing and quantity. Every quote is itemised so you can see which choice moves the price.
