What you can change
- Fit: slim base-layer fit or classic relaxed long-john fit
- Waistband: covered elastic, exposed jacquard elastic with your logo, or fold-over
- Men’s: functional fly or no fly; gusset on or off
- Leg: rib ankle cuff, plain hem or stirrup

- Packing: bottom only, or top and bottom as one set in a bag, box or with a header card
How long johns are made
Knitting
Yarn is knitted on circular knitting machines into tubular fabric at the weight you choose, measured in grams per square metre (gsm).
Brushing and setting
For brushed fabrics the inner face is napped to raise a soft pile that traps warm air. The fabric is then heat-set so width and shrinkage stay stable after washing.
Cutting
Fabric is laid and cut to a marker built from your size ratio, so a mixed-size order does not waste fabric.
Sewing
Flatlock seams for base layers that sit against the skin, overlock and cover-stitch for everyday thermals, rib cuffs and waistbands attached on the same line.
Check and pack
Every piece is measured against the size chart, trimmed and inspected, then folded and bagged with your label, size sticker and barcode.

On Amazon and on marketplaces, a matching thermal set is one listing, one barcode and a higher order value than a top or a bottom alone. Most of our long-john orders are packed as sets for that reason.
We cut the top and bottom from the same dye lot so the colour matches, and pack them as one unit with your label and barcode.

What is the minimum order for wholesale long johns?
100 pieces per style with your label, sizes mixed. A set counts as one style. Custom fabric or colour from 500 pieces per colour.
Can you put my logo on the waistband?
Yes. A jacquard-woven waistband with your logo needs its own elastic to be woven, so it is quoted separately and has a higher minimum than a plain waistband.
Do you make union suits?
Yes, one-piece union suits in cotton rib and waffle, quoted per design.
How long does it take?
Samples in about 7 days, bulk in about 25 days after sample approval and deposit.
